  • The very first level when you unlock gives you a double bonus, so you start with 150%
  • Mutation damage adds up into one big bonus, so adding this 75% to an existing bonus of 500% would total 575%.
  • The genes Mutation Infusion multiply this coloured damage by 10% per gene, to a maximum of 110%.
  • The Gene Lab's Mutation Specialization further add to this multiplication by 5% per level, with no maximum,

  • When maxed out, you would have 1950% added to your mutation bonus for Amethyst crabs and queens (multiplied by bonuses described above), and the health of bosses will be cut in half.

Commentary

Boss health is based on your distance, multiplied on a scale that gets progressively harder over 50m. At 10m and 60m the boss has 1.6x health of a normal reptile. At 20m and 70m, the boss has 3.2x. So forth, up to the max at 50m and 00m where the boss has a multiplier of 8.0. Boss health being cut in half effectively doubles your DPS versus the boss. Combined with another mutation - Verdant Wings Walkers - which increases the boss timer itself, you can progress further into the game without relying on exploding leeches or spending pearls to get past various walls.

Bonus Trivia

When maxed out to 50% boss life reduction, the bosses at 10m and 60m actually have less health than the reptiles you killed to get to them. That 1.6x becomes 0.8x.
