- Level 1 Increases the mutation Set bonus by 10% per gene.
- Base mutation set bonus (getting all 3 mutations in a set) is +30%
- With all three of these genes at Level 1 this goes to 60% per set.
- Having all 36 mutations, 12 sets, means each gene gives you +120% DNA, or +360% if you have all of them at Level 1.
- DNA is based off [Queen Level DNA + Distance DNA] which you can see on the Ecdysis screen.
- This bonus is added in to all other bonuses before calculating the [Mutation DNA] on the Ecdysis screen.

Gene Tree Ascension
- Version 3.80 brought Gene Tree Ascension Tiers which allow levelling up genes to make them more powerful.
- For Symbiotic Strand this means the base value increases by 10% every level.
