  • Increases Garnet Damage granted by mutations by 45% per level.
  • The very first level when you unlock gives you a double bonus, so you start with 90%
  • Mutation damage adds up into one big bonus, so adding this 45% to an existing bonus of 500% would total 545%.
  • The genes Mutation Infusion multiply this coloured damage by 10% per gene, to a maximum of 110%.
  • The Gene Lab's Mutation Specialization further add to this multiplication by 5% per level, with no maximum,
  • When maxed out, you would have 495% added mutation damage for Garnet crabs and queens (multiplied by bonuses described above), and your butterflies will show up 50% more often.

Commentary

Butterflies are on a 1-2 minute timer which has some randomness to it. This mutation reduces their timer closer to the 1 minute mark. Once you get the gene Treasure Butterfly you will want them spawning as often as possible so there is no delay to see Flitter. There is another mutation - Viridian Pincers - which will give you a chance to have two butterflies appear instead of just one.
