  • The very first level when you unlock gives you a double bonus, so you start with 90%
  • Mutation damage adds up into one big bonus, so adding this 45% to an existing bonus of 500% would total 545%.
  • The genes Mutation Infusion multiply this coloured damage by 10% per gene, to a maximum of 110%.
  • The Gene Lab's Mutation Specialization further add to this multiplication by 5% per level, with no maximum,

Gold is delicious, and this is the most delicious gold mutation there is, because it is a multiplier to every bit of gold you ever get, regardless of the source. Normal reptile, gold, boss, gold boss, leech, midas swarm, emerald strand, whatever. It is not a huge % gain per level but it is still worth every drop you can put into it. That said, if you are wanting to raise one specific aspect of the game - example being the output of your Leech, then it might be cheaper to invest in the other mutations that specifically impact that source, as they will generally give you a bigger boost for less DNA - but do not neglect this one.
