- Tapping a yellow butterfly releases a small swarm of white "flutterwisps" that deal 150x damage.
- At level one, the swarm consists of 5 flutterwisps.
- They can crit.
- They appear to not all attack at once, which is a good thing, and a bad thing (see commentary)
Gene Tree Ascension
- Version 3.80 brought Gene Tree Ascension Tiers which allow levelling up genes to make them more powerful.
- For Flutterwisp this means the base value increases by 5x every level.

Should I Get It?
The gene in this position used to be called Butterfly Shockwave, releasing a pulse of energy when you tapped a yellow butterfly. Shockwave only did 125x damage and did NOT crit, making it mediocre at best. Flutterwisp is much better in that regard. Not only is it more damage (150x), it CAN crit, which is the important part. You also get 5 hits instead of one, with each Level of gene Ascension adding 5 more of the little guys.Now the bad news - since they do not all attack at once, if you have a Wonder Wasp butterfly swarm, you can end up with a white screen for a while until all these little guys finish their attacks. That's a minor annoyance though.
Should you get it? Yeh, you should. This has redeemed the stigma of Shockwave pretty well.
